“Acte” is a passion project by the owners of Pomerol’s famed Château Lafleur, Sylvie and Jacques Guinaudeau. Driven by the desire to express anew each year the nuances of vintage and terroir, they dreamt of a new ‘palette’: to craft a wine from beautifully exposed limestone soils of the Fronsac region of the Right Bank.

“Acte” is afforded all the privileges and doting care of an “haute couture” wine. The vineyard and cellar work are undertaken exclusively by the team at Lafleur with meticulous attention to every detail. To respect the berries and ensure finesse and complexity in the final wine, macerations are gentle and extractions controlled. After blending, “Acte” is aged 15 months in oak barrels.

“Acte” receives a new name every year; thus 2009 saw the birth of “Acte;” 2010 produced “Acte 2,” 2011 “Acte 3,” and so on.
