Twin sister of Pomerol’s renowned Clos René, the vineyard of Château Moulinet-Lasserre lies on the western part of the plateau of Pomerol.

The light terroir of mainly gravelly soils allows for ideal ripening of the fruit, in dry as in wet vintages. The vineyard, which is maintained traditionally, boasts an average age of 35 years.

The grapes are entirely hand-picked before a gentle vinification in temperature-controlled concrete tanks. The wine is then aged in 30% new oak barrels for 18 months.

The wines, which exhibit a luscious structure, are delicate and enjoyable in their youth, but a few years of aging reveal a lovely tertiary bouquet.
