The quality of the 2015 vintage at Dominus Estate, Yountville Napa Valley, was confirmed on October 31, 2017 when the wine was awarded the prestigious “100 points” by Robert Parker Jr.’s Wine Advocate.

According to Christian Moueix, “Nature bestowed upon this wine the richness of Napa and the finesse of Bordeaux.”

The entire Dominus Estate team, directed by Christian Moueix with the help of Julia Levitan (General Manager) and Tod Mostero (Technical Director), thus sees its considerable efforts rewarded. This good news is particularly heartening now, as the Napa Valley begins a painful period of reconstruction after the horrific wildfires of October 2017.

Editor in Chief Lisa Perrotti-Brown notes: “The palate has incredible energy and vivacity, with the firm, pixelated tannins and lively backbone skillfully framing the muscular fruit, finishing with wonderful length and depth. […] Christian Moueix began our tasting of the 2015 vintage with a big smile. “We loved the vintage from the beginning,” he commented simply.”

A year ago, Robert Parker Jr. wrote: “Christian Moueix’s Dominus Estate continues to be one of California’s leaders in turning out gorgeously elegant, complex and long-lived wines. A wine of great body, purity and richness, but the balance of a ballerina, this gorgeously lush, voluptuously textured Dominus should drink effortlessly when released and evolve 30 more years, as his older vintages are proving so well.”

Dominus 2015 is the estate’s third vintage to receive this accolade. It follows the 2010 and the 2013, which featured a special label designed by South-African artist William Kentridge celebrating the 30th vintage.
