Decanter Magazine : Jean-Pierre Moueix Bordeaux selected

Image

In the latest number of Decanter Magazine, Georgina Hindle selected her top 30 wines of Bordeaux under £20 across all appellations.

We were delighted to discover that our Jean-Pierre Moueix Bordeaux 2016 made the cut following the tasting for which the candidates were quite numerous. As a reminder, this cuvée is a blend of lots carefully selected by Christian and Edouard Moueix that are then blended and aged by our technical teams, thus benefitting from all their expertise.

Two other wines distributed by JPM were mentioned in the article, Château La Fagnouse 2016 and Jean-Pierre Moueix Saint-Emilion 2018..

"Jean-Pierre Moueix Bordeaux 2016, 92 pts. £12.95, Private Cellar:

Lifted and lively, smooth and supple, generous but in a delicate and graceful way. Tannins are supremely integrated, still with a grip and suppleness that holds attention, and it has a silky texture that guides the creamy strawberry and red cherry flavors and a touch of herbal mint through to a long finish. Charming blend of 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. The JP Moueix St-Emilion 2018 is also excellent and worth seeking out (£13.95 The Wine Society).”
